…where the wild thyme blows…”
This beautiful quote from Shakespeare is how Oberon describes the nighttime bower of Titania, Queen of Fairies. wildthymecreative is my bower – I’m not really a queen (on some days maybe I’m a fairie…) but, I do like the idea of resting and creating amongst flowers.  I’m also a bit shy, so for a long time had no “about me page”.  But after the last several, “Wasn’t sure it was you…” conversations, I decided to add  a list or two.

I am:

Picture 190 small

* betsy cañas garmon
* a wife
* a mother of five brilliants
* an artist
* a homeschooler
* a gardener
* a writer
* and a photographer – not always in that order

I love:

catching my husband’s eye across the room

coffee
botanicals
lists
strange textures
spirals
patterns that behave
patterns that don’t behave
my garden
being outside (rain or shine)
classic literature
music
my children playing music
trees
my children climbing trees
quotes
quoting my children
overcast weather
windows-walls-doors-fences
eyes
asymmetrical design
art history
poetry
breathing deeply
and pursuing my faith.

All of this shows up in my art and life.
