List it Tuesday: Why I like Rainy Days

Regulars here know that I love lists.  So, I was super happy to find  List it Tuesday over at artsyville.  Rainy weather here in ATL was the inspiration for today’s list, which I wrote on a page that already had a bit of parenting advise from my friend Suzanne.

Be more concerned with a messy heart...

Rain, rain Don't go away...

I have a HUGE collection of iPhone photos – printed out & added this one of The Girl’s polka dotted rain boots.

And here is a partial list of why I like rainy days:

I create containers for words and paint and I fill them. I craft safe, sacred spaces for people to wrestle, create, heal and shout from the mountain tops.
And I teach people to do all of these things for themselves.

I wanted to “leaf” you a response. OMG, Betsy-girl! So beautiful! Thank you for once again showing us the beauty in everything.

    • Leslie – thank you so much for “leafing” such an encouraging response. I continue to be amazed by the power unleashed when validation happens…

  • Barbie

I LOVE this post, but then I seem to love them all… I just wanted to comment that I’ve left my room messy so I could dance to sound of the rain outside and “A Fine Frenzy” in the background 😀 (And I wish for wavy hair, rain turns it to fuzz!) *chuckles*

    • Barbie – what a lovely way to put a messy room in perspective. And yes, my hair can get fuzzy, but that usually happens with summer humidity. Rain makes it wavy – useless to straighten – sometimes you just have to go with what the day hands you. ~betsy p.s. I love “A Fine Frenzy” – had a chance to hear her live here in ATL. What a stunning voice…

I like rainy days because you can’t tell when I’m crying! Your page is awesome.

    • Becky – what a wonderful, melancholy addition to the list! So happy for the chance to collaborate with such a deep-thinking wordsmith.

  • Oh, I LOVE this – I love the list and I love the design and the photos and the color and everything about it!

    • Chel – thank you so much for stopping by {and saying such nice things!} Come anytime! I’ll always talk lists & watercolor & photos…
